Bug Description

In Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64bit, the option ticked in Configuration Editor and also in dconf Editor to activate event-sounds reverts to default values on reboot.

In Terminal: gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.sound event-sounds true

In dconf-editor: org.cinnamon.desktop.sound.event-sounds

My first aid solution is to set the above Terminal command in Startup Applications so that it is invoked on every boot.

Choices made via gsettings and in dconf Editor in Linux Mint 17.3 remained on reboot.
