Bug Description
On Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon, works pretty good except for the following errors:
If you install plasma-desktop, login to KDE and lock the screen you get the following message:
The screen locker is broken and unlocking is not possible anymore.
In order to unlock switch to a virtual terminal (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+F2),
log in and execute the command:
loginctl unlock-sessions
Afterwards switch back to the running session (Ctrl+Alt+F9).
This is very annoying.
And if you install SDDM (Simple Desktop Display Manager) and make the default display manager then the screen lock error does away but you start getting Xorg Fatal server error:
_XSERVTransSock
_XSERVTransMake

Fatal server error:

I have the same problem in Mint 18. Also, if you didn't started a console session before KDE crashes the lock screen, when you switch to console (CTR+ALT+F1) it won't load the login, so you can't even use the suggested command. Solution for me is to CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE to reset X session. Very annoying.
