Bug Description
I am using Cinnamon 3.0.6 LMDE but this bug exists since one year or more.
How to reproduce:
1. Login with one user.
2. Select "switch user" from menu.
3. Login with second user.
... do some work in second user session
4. Switch back to the first user by switch user option (which sometimes doesn't work saying that it is impossible to create new screen) or by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Fn.
In the first user session everything looks normal but few minutes/seconds later window manager stops working. So I can still use the active application application but can not switch to another one. Then window decorations disappear. Application menu doesn't work. At this point of time I can use a shortcut to restart Cinnamon (Crtl-Alt-Esc in my case) and after restart everything is back to normal.
Another option is to activate hotcorner where I configured "Show all workplaces". This hangs Cinnamon immediately and definitely. "Restarn Cinnamon" shortcut is not working anymore. However I still can use (blindly, because the screen is just an image of the moment of staring Expose mode with transparent blue rectangle on the Linux Mint logo in the upper right corner) Alt-F2 + r + <Enter> in order to restart Cinnamon and get back my session.
I am using Radeon with Catalyst driver. I tried Open Source driver as well with the same result.
Sorry for long explanation but it is like it is. I checked the logs and found nothing special.
