Bug Description
17.3 Cinnamon 64 bit. The suspend on lid closure selected in the power control panel. Nothing happens when the lid is closed, and there's a short blackout in the display when it's opened. That's all it does. The laptop should go into complete suspend mode. If I set it to go into suspend when I short press the power button, it does with no problem. Same with using the main menu. This is a completely predictable problem and happens every time so no problem in reproducing it. I suspect it has something to do with how the lid closure switch is being interpreted on this model. I have no problems with this feature with my trusty Lenovo x-61, which seems extremely suited to running this exact same version of Mint.
