Bug Description

Dell Inspiron 3552 laptop (marketed as 'Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Ubuntu', running an Intel N3050 CPU)

1) Linux Mint 17.3, kernel 3.19.0-32-generic
2) The built-in touchpad was not responding during the LiveCD session, and it remained that way after the completion of the Linux Mint installation.
3) The built-in touchpad doesn't function post installation of Linux Mint 17.3.
4) A default functioning touch-pad.
5) The problem always occurs.

Solution: echo "blacklist i2c_hid" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Please add this fix to the default system for upcoming Linux Mint releases (>17.3).
