System freezes when navigating to /proc in nemo file manager

Bug Description
When I navigate to /proc in nemo, the whole system freezes and nothing works after that. I would have to press power off button to power off the system. This only happens in nemo and when I navigate to /proc in terminal its fine.
1. The version and edition of Linux Mint you are using (if you are not sure, open a terminal and run "mintwelcome").
Linux mint 17.2 (64bit, Cinnamon), Nemo- 2.6.7
2. What you did for the problem to happen, and how to reproduce it.
Just use nemo and navigate to /proc
3. What happened.
The system freezes and no controls will work. I would have to power off the system and then boot it.
4. What you expected to happen instead.
Display files, folders in /proc
5. If the problem happened once, sometimes, or always.
Always.

The same is happening to me with the same version. It takes almost 90% RAM.
