Bug Description

Hi,

I'm using Linux Mint 17.1 64 bit, since 9 months ago - it works as well. I'm using 3 different browsers: Firefox, Google-chrome-stable and Chromium-browser. For Google applications (drive, docs, ...) I'm using Chrome and Chromium, with two different Google accounts.

Since a few weeks ago, both Google-chrome and Chromium-browser are freezing, when I started them. I can't do anything, when they started, they just freeze. When I killed them, and start again, they showed me, that wasn't closed properly, should I want to restore the closed pages? But this window also freezed. I've tried to start them from cli, with --blacklist-accelerated-compositing, but no result.

I've a same installed Mint in my work, but there isn't any problem with Chrome based browsers - in that computer, I've an Intell video card, but here (at home), I have an NVIDIA GF119 (GeForce GT 610). I've changed the video drivers (nouveau, nvidia propietary with version 304, 340 and 346, updates and without updates), but problem cames again and again.

What should I check and try to use Chrome-based browsers?

When I start the google-chrome[-stable] or chromium-browser with "--disable-gpu" option, then all of them works perfectly (okay, may be there are several things which don't works, but all of my used pages and applications are corrects). May be that's a workaround.

I found an output from the chromium-browser with these options: "--single_process --test-launcher-jobs=1 --test-launcher-print-test-stdio=always", which helped me to find the main reason. Looks like the nouveau contains a bug till summer of this year (the problem came about then).
