Bug Description

1) Mint 17.1 and 17.2 64bit Cinnamon (affects also Mate apparently).

2) After upgrading from 17 to 17.1, the shutdown button is not triggering the shutdown dialog anymore.

3) nothing happens, although in ACPI I see the expected event, see: http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2714#comment-113509

4) whatever I choose in power management, nothing happens

5) always

I read that sometimes this could be related to dropped driver support (Sony vaio SVP1321C5E), but apparently it seems that new user accounts work properly (http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=196327), so it must be some mapping issue with the first user (either upgrading from 17 or the first user created, don't know).
