Bug Description
(I'm running Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, 64-bit, Cinnamon).
I recently purchased an Optus Yes 4G Wireless Broadband modem. It was correctly detected by the OS, and I was led through the 'Create New Connection' wizard.
However, the result was a connection with the APN 'preconnect'. This didn't work; the symptom was a brief connection followed by disconnection. Speaking with Optus support, the correct APN for their 4G service is 'connectme'.
Note that this applies only to their 4G modems; the old 3G modem of theirs I have still works, and is expected to work, with the APN 'preconnect'.
I think a new question needs to be added to the Wizard to determine (for Optus customers) whether they're on 3G or 4G, and set the APN accordingly.
I have verified the same behaviour on 17.2 Rafaela, 64-bit, Cinnamon.
