Software Manager fails to start running Mint 17.1 Mate 32-bit

Bug Description

*Sytem:
Linux Mint 17.1 Mate 32-bit

*Problem:
1)I open Software Manager
2)system requests the password
3)I enter it
4)the program does not open

*When i try open it from terminal:
administrator@northroom ~ $ sudo mintinstall
[sudo] password for administrator:
add_categories took 66.727 ms
build_matched_packages took 0.513 ms
java version "1.7.0_65"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.5.3) (7u71-2.5.3-0ubuntu0.14.04.1)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode)
Segmentation fault

*Additional information
I read on your forum, at similar error, required remaked folder "partial":
sudo rm -fr /var/lib/apt/lists
sudo mkdir -pv /var/lib/apt/lists/partial

After that, program started. But, after updated data of packages the error is repeated.

i got this too in linux mint 64 bit!
