Mint17 XFCE + XRDP trashes desktop settings

Bug Description

It's the fresh install of Mint 17 XFCE (at least also with Mint 16), if there's xrdp installed and working (meaning with manually added packages vnc4server and tightvncserver because xrdp only recommends them but doesn't depend on them although it doesn't work without them).
Xrdp version is default Mint and Ubuntu 0.6.0.

On each sign on via RDP it asks for the default desktop and goes back to the standard XFCE defaults rather than the tweaked Mint variant.
If I log back in locally it is trashed locally also until I delete the folder at ~/.config/xfce4

Why are xrdp logins killing the configuration? Is this xrdp or Mint problem?

The same behavior with the master git xrdp version 0.9.0.

Is there any help here?
What is the process related to starting XFCE and wrapper script which starts a Mint-flavoured XFCE desktop?
