arguments in Konversation MATE icon prevent automatic starting

Linux Mint MATE 16
Konversation wont start properly in MATE because their are arguments in the icon that are fed into the start process that prevents Konversation from starting properly. Going into the properties of the icon and simply deleting those arguments and leaving just the 'konversation' command by itself fixes the problem for me.
