Bug Description
This is a (mostly repeatable) crash of the X-server. It seems to occur only under the following conditions:
0) An external USB DVD player is used
1) Google Chrome browser is playing a Youtube video
2) New DVD is inserted. Handbrake is launched.
Immediately as it starts to scan the disk for titles, the screen will completely lock up. Audio continues to play.
I can CTL-ALT-Fx to another console, but cannot type anything.
After thirty seconds or so the system will reboot.
I'm only suspecting Handbrake because I've been unable to reproduce this by playing a DVD in VLC. It's only when I launch Handbrake.

I have a similar issue with HandBrake in Mint 17 Cinnamon, but it doesn't require video or external DVD players.
1. Open an SSH session from another system.
2. Run HandBrakeCLI with -U -P (hardware & OpenCL enabled) to transcode any file scaled to a smaller size.
3. After some time, the screen will freeze and Xorg will spike to 100% of a CPU.
4. Killing Xorg does not restore the screen. Restarting mdm does not restore the screen.
(Hmm.... i should check for a kernel panic in the video drivers.)
