Bug Description

Note:

This bug might already have a simple fix:
"Due to a typo the dm-raid4-5"
Check the link below.

After selecting the right option from Grub, Mint tries to warm up showing splash image and then fails giving this:

"Decompressing Linux ... Parsing ELF... done.
Booting the kernel.
Loading, please wait...
modprobe: module dm-raid45 not found in modules.dep

That link relates to an Ubuntu package - LMDE doesn't use any.
I assume you are talking about a LiveDVD/USB?

What a chaotic description. It's not clear where the typo is, how it affects the system, where is that "simple fix" and what the two years old Ubuntu bug has to do with it. Marking as incomplete.

??

I already wrote:

So, isn't it clear enough that Mint doesn't boot? I really don't know about
the typo itself but if you are a developer and you know what letters should
be incuded in a certain file, why don't you check it out?

Ubuntu is based on Debian and at least Ubuntu is a bit infamous by
including the same bugs year after year.

I downloaded the new LMDE RC and used Unetbootin's option to install the
live distro to hard drive. Giving that, the next step was to reboot. From
there I chose the Unetbootin option as guided. Then a Mint logo popped up.
Everything was fine but then came the above mentioned text:

"Decompressing Linux ... Parsing ELF... done.
  Booting the kernel.
  Loading, please wait...
modprobe: module dm-raid45 not found in modules.dep"

After that... nothing.

Of course I tried to figure it out how to deal with it but didn't find
anything. What I found was a bug related to the information my system gave
me, so I wanted to give you a hint where to start looking for the solution.
