Unable to set NTP in Mint 15

Bug Description

Tried setting the time from NTP in Mint 15 KDE, and I get an error, then the time is changed to UTC. This happens from a fresh install as well as from the Live boot. I checked on two machines and got the same behavior, then checked previous liveboots, and the problem is not there (although it seems a little buggy in 14, but functional).

Aperently the date & time settings don't work. The workaround is to set etc/localtime yourself. For me:

$ sudo ln -f -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Amsterdam /etc/localtime

see Bug #668748

Thanks. I did dpkg-reconfigure to the timezone package, then reset it to where it should be. That seemed to help. I also started ntpd and manually updated with ntpdate. If I was really picky about it, I could put this in a startup script, but the computer clock is okay for a month or so, so I'll just manually update it until it gets fixed. Thanks!
