Hi,
on my HP 8530w, i have problem with ethernet cart Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - 2.1.4-k (data from dmesg).
Imposibbility of internet conection trogh ethernet on laptop only at battery (driver e1000e) after suspending or restart, or after disconection and agein insertion of ethernet cable.
This problem is only by ethernet. By wifi or 3g is all OK, when laptop is at battery. Maybe is bug in driver or in kernel. This bug was also in other linux distribution like Linux Mint 14, Linux Mint 15, Mageia 2, Opensuse and Fedora.
Sorry for my english, you must try also, MAYBE is bug in kernel by other ethernet card on laptop, not only in driver e1000e.
