Bug Description

In Cinnamon 1.6.7-nadia on Linux Mint 14, 64-bit. ATI Radeon HD 5700 using fglrx from catalyst 13.2-beta7. (Had same problem on earlier fglrx versions, and forum members reported same problem on LM13-64bit, again with ATI proprietary drivers.)

Icons in the "System Tray" applet do not update after inital load. Skype icon shows me as permanately "away," Pidgin as "disconnected," dropbox as "updating," claws-mail as "no new mail" etc. Changing the theme or reloading cinnamon refresh the icons, once, but then they stay in their new state until manually refreshed again.

I have this exact problem in Cinnamon. Tray icons not updating (ex. Radio Tray when turning on/off radios, Skype when receiving messages, login/logout etc). Also, some icons show up as squares with artifacts/corrupted image.

I have tested different versions of the AMD drivers, and with stable / nightly version of Cinnamon etc. Nothing seem to solve it. Therefore I'm running Xfce instead, since this problem does not exist there.
