after closing an application an uncloseable empty window appears requiring restart of cinnamon

Bug Description
Sometimes when i close an application, the application closes but an empty window of the same size as the closed application opens. This window is uncloseable , cannot be minimised and always in foreground blocking the view of other applications.
This behaviour is random and will attach a scrrenshot of the bug
