Bug Description

Very excited to find a stable OS after the mess that was Mint 12/13. Many of our enterprise machines are still on mint 11.

Installed a fresh install (on a new clean ext4 partition via live DVD.

Install worked fine (a bit slow). WiFi was not recognized during install process.

Let the machine reboot, let update manager run updates.

Enabled Broadcom wifi driver in software sources. Rebooted.

Grub Rescue.

Could not boot into live CD initially, but second try worked.

Could not mount linux partition from the live CD.

Got kicked out of the irc chan for saying "wtf". LOL

Here I am. I really am a Linux Mint fan (since version 7). I have installed Mint 10 and 11 on over 300 machines. I want to continue supporting Mint, but this is NOT RC worthy!!!! Can we PLEASE get a longer beta period and fix all these issues before we push out "Final"?!?

Reinstalled from scratch (again), installed broadcom driver in software sources, rebooted, computer locks on black screen. Ctrl Alt Del gives me:

file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found.
grub rescue>

PS I was not actually kicked from IRC, but I was warned which is still fascist and ridiculous. wtf is common lingo EVERYWHERE on the internet. Besides, who's the mormon who doesn't like common English vernacular!??! WTF!?!?

OK, then I did get kicked for complaining about WTF not being a cuss word. What a bunch of petty pedantic cry babies. No wonder people say Linux is hard to use.
