Bug Description
version of Linux Mint: 12.04, 64 bit, MATE desktop
I save some settings in atril, under the Edit menu. The settings are sometime ignored when I open a PDF document. The behaviour of Atril is the same as of Evince in this respect. Please see bug 682492 at
https:/
or also another (duplicate) description of this problem at
https:/
I can not exactly specify how to reproduce the bug but anyone who frequently works with PDF documents (A4 or letter or similar formats) must definitely encounter this bug (which is pretty annoying).
More description:
Typically I want to utilise as much of atril area as possible to document CONTENT. Instead of this, atril often tends to show (usually useless) toolbar (stealing the PRECIOUS vertical space) and the side pane. Despite of my saved settings.
Typically I want to have exactly ONE document page per time displayed, using the "Best Fit" mode (and using PgUp PgDown to move within the document). Despite of the setting saved in this sense, atril often tends to use the continuous regime and fits the page width.
I usually launch atril from the command line.
