Bug Description
Version: Linux Mint Maya Mate.
During VLC play the screensaver cuts in, although in the VLC preferences the powermanagement daemon is inhibited.
This happens always after the chosen time after which the system should be considered idle (screensaver preferences).

I have the same problem with Linux Mint 14.1 Mate 32-bit (clean install). The default screensaver activation time was 5 minutes, and the screensaver kicked in shortly after I started playing a movie in VLC.
