LMDE 201204 64 bit cannot install

Bug Description

When trying to install LMDE 201204 it doesn't do anything. It comes up with a message saying system was logged in with root privileges, but nothing happens.

Tried running it on a terminal and copying the command in the installer property, would work. However it gets stuck with (1) gparted not found, (2) access denied on the hdd.

Processor: AMD llano A8-3870
Memory: 8 GB
HDD: 1TB

Installed using Universal-USB-Installer-1.8.9.9

I'm not familiar with Universal-USB-Installer.
Try unetbootin instead:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/unetbootin/

Here's the latest exe:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/unetbootin/files/UNetbootin/575/unetbootin-windows-575.exe/download

In either case you'd probably want the USB stick to be formatted to fat32.
