when i start mint it states an error message and lets me choose between mint recovery or mint

Bug Description
i have and HP DV6Z laptop with amd A8 3510m processor and dual graghics, i tried the install inside windows 7 (mint13) and then installed it for good inside the hard drive, when i select mint at startup it shows an error message and give me a choice between "generic mint" or "mint recovery" i alsways pich generic mint and everything is well from there but this but is annoying
