Can't reboot from graphical interface

Bug Description
In Mint 13 Cinnamon on my Dell 520, trying to reboot from the login screen just goes to a black screen with mouse pointer, have to hard power down with power button. Typing sudo reboot in terminal works fine. Plain Ubuntu 12.04 reboots fine.
