Bug Description
Just did a fresh install with Mint 13 Maya. The fan is running non-stop, very noisily. This did not happen with Mint 12.
System Monitor doesn't show any run away processes, or excessive processor load.
Release 13 (maya) 64-bit
Dell AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ × 2
Fresh install, nothing added or changed except for the first round of auto-updates, and adding Chrome.

I can confirm this here too with the latest propriatory Nvidia-driver installed. Here on my MSI-Notebook (CR500-series) the fans also run stteadyly and the machine becomes a little bit warm but not hot.
I did the direct-upgrade install because the current install-media do not work out for me.
