By way of update, I am seeing a few dis/reassociations in the dmesg:

but these are around 30-40 min. apart and aren't causing any performance problems that I can tell. They may, in fact, be completely normal?

I've tried my system all over my house in the past few days. I haven't noticed any of the problems that have otherwise plagued me since I moved from jaunty to karmic alpha4.
