Ok, I should have checked the Redhat bug report as well.

I can also confirm this bug on a Compaq nx7400 using a Jaunty alpha-2 LiveCD. In contrast to my Thinkpad, it stays awake after the second resume (the thinkpad only stays awake after the third resume).
