I actually don't believe this problem is fixed at all. I "messed" with jaunty when I had heard that this problem was fixed in the 2.6.28 kernel but experienced erratic keyboard/mouse behavior. Might just be me but I never had the problem in intrepid. Now, I am not sure exactly what your problem is with the 32bit version crjackson, I do know (having the dv9610us myself), that it takes a bit of... coaxing... to get it to install out-right. My laptop refused to boot into the GUI until i pulled up a direct console (ctrl-alt-f1), customized the xorg.conf file and added the ' Driver "vesa" ' for the video display, then did a 'sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart'. That allowed me to install the OS and actually will copy that xorg.conf to the main drive. After which, I connected it to the net via cat5, installed "b43-fwcutter" (i believe is the file) which enabled my wireless, then installed nvidia-glx-180 and re-edited my conf file and changed the driver to "nvidia". Once all that was done i restarted KDE and was good to go with accelerated drivers. Everything after that is a breeze. On Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 6:18 PM, crjackson
