Bug Description

****
NOTE FROM BUG FILER: I am NOT the one who saw this, I am converting this from a "Question" on Answers.LP. The DSA controller was not supported on 12.04 but was supposed to be working on 14.04, thus this bears some investigation.

The original Question can be found here:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-certification/+question/267449
****

For Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit it didn't work with the Controller.

I had to disable HP Dynamic Smart Array from BIOS.

Note in the options there is no option to disable Dynamic Smart Array only to select which Controller to use.

* Press F9 to boot into RBSU
* Navigate to System Options -> SATA Controller options and select Legacy SATA
* Reboot the machine and now you will be able to install the OS.

If you don't follow these steps the OS will be installed but after the installation reboot you will see a Red screen with NMI error message.

Are we using Maas for installation of this driver? If yes then which
version? If not then I would like to know the steps used. Hp had fixed lot
of issues in the driver and soon it will be available for release too at HP
site.

No... this was reported by a user via answers.launchpad.net. per the link in the summary.

There has been no response from the original filer, so I'm going to mark this as incomplete and just let it expire if he doesn't come back.
