Bug Description
I think it would be quite useful if the applet was aware if the user is even online (by asking networkmanager over dbus) before re-pinging.

Not everybody who uses this applet also uses NetworkManager. This would probably be useful as a feature IF networkmanager is available, but it shouldn't be a requirement.
