LM generates so little traffic that this option is not justified. |
Little traffic, but it might be very annoying for someone trying to determine why the internet connection does not work with tcpdump - that happened to me twice.
Also, I use link-monitor to monitor hosts on our local private community network and my machine is a laptop, so when I am connected ouside of out network, it would be nice to be able to stop link-monitor since the hosts are unreachable.
Alternatively to a pause button (or rather a menu item in preferences or an option offered when right-clicked on the applet), the settings of link monitor could be saved when removed from a panel, but I do not know if it is possible. |
