The screen is still "ON" after ran "halt" on Arndale ubuntu.

Bug Description

On Samsung Arndale board with Linux Linaro ubuntu Raring image:

After ran "halt" in serial console, the HDMI monitor is still "ON" with serial console output, even "System halted." has shown. Same behaviour also observed when run "poweroff".

Is this bug affecting the automated testing we use the Arndale for in LAVA? If not, I don't think we need to spend any time on it. If not, then it is a priority and the Landing Team can attempt to fix it.

"Halt" test now works well, the external monitor can be turned off successfully. However, when run "poweroff" in serial console, a Kernel panic occurred at the end, and this issue now is covered by another bug:
