Hi,
as previously discussed I would prefer OPSCOM trying to reuse existing reporting facilities.
I would envision instead of asking all PMs every 2 weeks out of band, we could reuse the post mortem reporting that was established as part of the monthly engineering execution cadence.
ATM, we ask people to run post mortems and gather lesson learned and ensure that all blueprints are sharp and reflect reality and that all unfinished blueprints get documented with their resolution (split up etc.).
Extending this to include the roadmap card report based on fresh data from the monthly post-mortem feels so natural that it's hard to believe why we wouldn't want to aim for that.
This step also would make sense as it a) strengthens our post mortem practices as well as b) ensuring that we don't add more and more reporting in all directions, but rather make use of existing reporting slots and efforts.
