Bug Description

Hi,

we ran into tons of awful problems to support real hardware devices; either due to weird timing issues with specific SD cards / readers, or when trying to talk to udisks over dbus.

I propose we drop support for talking to real hardware devices, and instead always generate an image file. We could keep supporting --mmc by dd-ing the resulting image after creation.

The disadvantages are that we use more space while building the image, and we might end up with a 2G image on a 4G SD card or such.

What do you think of such a change?

Cheers,
