Perf broken on linux-linaro 3.10.x kernel

I have tested iks test suite on linux-linaro mp build 301 which is proposed for 13.05 release.

big.LITTLE IKS test suite reported 4 failures related to perf test cases. where it failed to count (or print) events on A15 cluster.

Maintaining the existing perf support for IKS has become an effort sink.

Since the existing implementation is not suitable for upstream, I am working on rebuilding the functionality on top of a more mainline-oriented perf series.

This should lead to a simpler and more robust implementation.
