The kernel in this hwpack, so I updated it to the latest nico's tree. This one starts showing boot messages (after adding ATAGs support to kernel), but bombs out slighlty layter in tc2_pm_power_up(). Should this be run on fast model? The device tree file loaded seems correct:

[ 0.000000] Machine: ARM-Versatile Express, model: RTSM_VE_CortexA15x4-A7x4

yes, it should run on Fastmodels.

we are having an understanding that same hwpack, will support on RTSM and TC2.
please provide me the steps, how we have to boot on RTSM and TC2.

I'm updating the kernel for IKS, but we are now blocked by the ongoing precise to quantal migration.

I confirm that the latest IKS tree is broken on RTSM.
I'll fix that today as well as making sure that a single binary
can work on both RTSM and TC2.

The job files from the links above are submitting to a device-type "vexpress". You need to update your lava-job to submit to the proper device we have. ie - something from http://validation.linaro.org/lava-server/scheduler/ like:

 rtsm_ve-a15x4-a7x4 or vexpress-tc2

ignore last comment - the lava jobs are fine in this link. I was reading your old email. looks like its just a bL bug now.

This is now fixed. The location for image and hwpack have changed. Pick up image from:

https://snapshots.linaro.org/quantal/images/developer/latest

And hwpack (with IKS) from:

https://snapshots.linaro.org/quantal/restricted/integrated-big.little-fastmodels/latest

Mash them up with linaro-media-create:

linaro-image-tools/linaro-media-create --dev fastmodel --output-directory fastmodel-iks --image_size 2000M --hwpack hwpack_linaro-vexpress-iks_*.gz --binary linaro-quantal-developer-20121205-1.tar.gz

cd fastmodel-iks:

and launch with fast model:

~/RTSM_A15-A7x14_VE/Linux64_RTSM_VE_Cortex-A15x4-A7x4/RTSM_VE_Cortex-A15x4-A7x4 -a coretile.cluster0.*=$(pwd)/img.axf -C motherboard.smsc_91c111.enabled=1 -C motherboard.hostbridge.userNetworking=1 -C motherboard.mmc.p_mmc_file=sd.img

The kernel messages start scrolling soon, and the whole boot takes ~ 5 minutes.

Naresh,

I could not reproduce that. What command line did you use to start your local fast model setup?

Hi Riku,

ARM_RTSM_A15x14-A7x14_VE.tgz was the problem. I have downloaded latest fastmodel and able to resolve the issue.
