Bug Description

On Samsung Origen board with Linaro Jelly Bean image:

https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/origen-jb-gcc47-samsunglt-stable-blob-12.08-release/#build=1

After plug in an Ethernet adapter and click to enable it in Ethernet Configuration Manager, the "Ethernet Devices" list is still empty.

Therefore, although ECM has been built into Origen Jelly Bean image, it's actually not ready to use. The end user has to use following commands to enable the adapter:

netcfg eth0 dhcp
setprop net.dns1 8.8.8.8

Also, even adapter has been enabled via command line, the ECM still recognize it.

Now that AOSP has Ethernet support in AOSP, plan is to characterize Ethernet support in 4.2 and see to what extent it can be used.
