Lock is not there now. I wonder if using -j8 still taxes git-daemon out.

Ok, this turned to be combination of 2 issues: lack of master branch in the repo, and typo in a manifest.xml . But the real problem is the lack of error reporting from mirror service back to the build process, which makes extremely hard to debug such issues. This makes this be duplicate of lp:724096 .
