Bug Description
For a glibc 2.17 based distribution, we still need commit f8b4877a75765b1
Some discussion with Carlos O'Donell, one of the glibc maintainers, suggests that retaining the 2.18 symbol
version is the best solution going forward, as it's fully compatible with a proper glibc 2.18.
