2013-02-19 16:39:21 Nekhelesh Ramananthan description For now Lightread requires entering login and password in order to authorise an account. How about authorising by Ubuntu Global Accounts? It would be either safer and easier (for users, I don't know how it's done under the hood). For now Lightread requires entering login and password in order to authorise an account. How about authorising by Ubuntu Global Accounts? It would be either safer and easier (for users, I don't know how it's done under the hood). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When running Lightread in Ubuntu, Lightread should add provide authorisation through the online accounts panel in system settings to maintain consistency with other ubuntu applications. This is how it should be implemented. - For 12.04, Lightread should continue to provide authorisation request as it is currently (through its own interface). - For 12.10 and later, under Google Accounts in the online accounts panel, it should list Lightread as one application which would benefit from the authorisation if Lightread is installed in the system.
