Flickering in WebViews when scrolling

Sometimes there is a visible flicker when scrolling down a article or list.

This should be avoided, it is very stressing when you scroll down and get this "empty" frame for some miliseconds.

System: Ubuntu 12.04, Gnome3, GTK3

I get overall flickering as well as black bars flickering vertically.

I think it's a problem to do with the lack of a compositing manager.
