Bug Description

On initial load, after signing in, the progress bar in Lightread stops at around 90%. I have all "Keep items" settings set to "Never".

When I closed and re-opened it, there was one item. Clicking the sync/refresh button caused it to spin indefinitely, and no new items appeared.

I closed and re-opened again (still 1 item), then changed the "Keep unread items" option to "1 day", and clicked sync/refresh; the spinner spun without loading any new items.

After closing and re-opening again, there were 61 items, going back about 15 hours. They don't appear to be a whole day's worth of items. I hit sync/refresh again, and the spinner spun with no results.

I closed and re-opened again and there were still only 61 items. I changed the "Keep unread items" setting to "2 days," and hit sync/refresh; the spinner spun with no results.

I closed and re-opened again, and there were 69 items. I clicked sync/refresh, and the spinner spun with no results. I closed and re-opened and it still showed 69 items.

I changed all "Keep" settings to "1 month," then clicked the sync/refresh button; the spinner spun with no results. I closed and re-opened and it showed 7547 items.

I have 834 subscriptions in Google Reader; maybe that has something to do with it?

I'm getting this frequently. The sync icon keeps spinning and restarting the application doesn't works. The only way to get it working is to log off and log in back.

I have the same issue - opening the LightReader application and manually synchronising does not add new items to my LightReader. The sync spinner icon in the bottom left of the screen 'spins' but no new articles are added. I have checked in Google Reader and can see that additional new items are available to be sync'd with.

Only workaround I have found so far is to log out of LightReader and sign in again - this seems to force the LightReader app to update.

Great application otherwise, thank you for developing it!

I can confirm that this is likely a result of having "too many" subscriptions. I reduced my number of subscriptions from around 900 to around 20, and Lightread no longer exhibits this problem.

Same issue.
Additionnally, after re-logging the downloading items bar gets stuck at about 95% and I have to restart the application to get the new feeds. I have 24 subscriptions.

I am experiencing this issue also on Ubuntu 12.10, as reported a logout/login clears it up. Odd thing is, this did not start until a few weeks after using the application.
