Bug Description

When dismissing a notification (for your own event) a new event request email to all participants is generated. This annoys the hell out of all participants. Especially bad, if you had a room/resource booked and the event has already passed, the update email will cause the resource to decline the reservation (in the past) and delete it from the calendar.

Attached a debug log of the situation.

Is there any workaround that could be tried for this?

This is happening to me, very annoying. Sometimes i cannot dismiss an event, it keep updating the event I am trying to dismiss.

Argh, yes. Just realized that this appears to be spamming a number of people in my group. Pretty much a show-stopper.

I just had a strange thing happen that might be related - I received an invitation to an event, and when I responded Lightning sent a meeting request for that event to all of the participants with me as the organizer. Sounds like it might be the same bug.

does this still happen in the latest version?

In the latest version, I am not even receiving any notifications. No pop ups 15 minutes before the event.

That's odd; works here.

Recent (TB5) Lightning versions shipped with a broken alarm code, so maybe you're suffering from that now.

Sachin Bansal (sacbans) wrote :

That's possible. Is there a fix for that lightning bug?
