Bug Description

I have a machine with user accounts >500 & < 1000 so I have tried to set minimum-uid=500 but it seems to be ignored.

Thank you for your bug report, where did you try to set it? Those options are ignored if accountsservice is used which is the default on Ubuntu

Changed in lightdm:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Incomplete

I have defined it in:

 /etc/lightdm/users.conf

[UserAccounts]
minimum-uid=500

right, if you read the comments in the file you will see

"# NOTE: If you have AccountsService installed on your system, then LightDM will
# use this instead and these settings will be ignored"

that's a duplicate of a known issue I think

Changed in lightdm:
status: Incomplete → New

ok, sorry. Could you perhaps point out how to define this in AccountsService, please?
