Bug Description

We are using lightdm 1:1.22.0-1 from the pacman repositories of ArchLinux for our distribution ArchLabs. And lightdm-gtk-greeter 1:2.0.2-1.
All our code/settings are at this github if you need to know more: https://github.com/ARCHLabs/Archlabs-Iso

We decided to install not only openbox but now also i3wm.

Since we have now two possibilities to login : lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter provides now i3 or openbox.

The problem is that after installation i3 will be the default. We would like the default to be openbox.

Is this set anywhere in lightdm or is it set in the greeter which desktop environment is default when you boot up the first time after installation.

In the lightdm.config we added the lines user-session=openbox on the iso but one way or another it is changed into user-session=i3 upon booting.

When performing auto-login you will login to openbox because of this line
autologin-session=openbox

This is not overwritten upon booting. But when you logoff, you will see that the default session has become i3. Logging back on not knowing that will result that our users will end up in i3. We want to avoid that.

We are not asking to set it manually because that works. Lightdm/greeter remembers the last choice and will log you back on.

We start with the correct code on the iso. But upon booting something gets overwritten by a process. That is the issue. You can only test it once on first boot.

Any assistance is appreciated. I have been reading for weeks now. Contacted calamares installer as well. No solution there.
Can you assist?
