lightdm.conf greeter screen resolution issue

Bug Description

Prior to 4.6 kernel setting a greeter-setup-script to run xrandr to set a screen resolution was working. With the 4.6 kernel it appears that lightdm is ignoring the xrandr script or it is not not running correctly. Once logged in, running the script sets the display correctly. With the latest version of lightdm and the 4.6 kernel, what is the proper method to set the greeter/login screen resolution and the session resolution? Or is this a bug?
