lightdm 1.2.2 doesn't honor user's shell

Bug Description
When logging in with lightdm, it completely ignores the users shell and uses sh instead, thus fails to setup the environment the way the user wants it to be. From pstree:
--lightdm-
However, the users shell is set to /bin/zsh in /etc/passwd.
