Bug Description

Hi,

I just got a report from the GNOME maintainers in Debian about lightdm-gtk-greeter, which uses deprecated macros/variables from gnome-common.

The downstream bug report is at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=829931

From what I could dig, the following deprecated macros/variables are used:

- USE_COMMON_DOC_BUILD
- USE_GNOME2_MACROS
- GNOME_COMPILE_WARNINGS
- GNOME_CXX_WARNINGS

There are links in the downstream bug report on how to migrate those.
