Ambiance theme no longer sets a dark color for panel by default

After updating from to, Ambiance theme no longer sets a dark color for panel (see screenshot).

I have this issue as well when using mate-panel.

Linux Mint comes with MATE as default and I desperately want to use Ambiance with it. I urge you to reconsider your gtk+2 support policy!

If you download the tarball for the revision before:
Then you can copy the missing files back into your /usr/share/themes/Ambiance/gtk-2.0 directory and there we go, MATE looking nice on the latest Ubuntu :) Just for the benefit of anyone googling like crazy like I was.
