Bug Description
The Pixmap engine is not installed by default in Oneiric anymore.
This breaks the parts of the Ambiance theme that depend on that engine (The Ubuntu One Control Panel, etc.)
Adding the gtk2-engines-pixbuf package as a dependency in debian/control solves the problem.

Just noticed. This issue has already been addressed in lp:762167.
Anyway, since the light-themes are the only ones [in Oneiric] which depend on this package, this is a must-fix.
